The Cascade Brewery Co Tasting Notes project was developed as part of the brewery’s landmark craft beer relaunch, helping communicate the unique character and flavour profiles of its new beer range. As Australia’s oldest brewery, established in Tasmania in 1824, Cascade sought to reposition itself within the rapidly growing craft beer market and appeal to a new generation of mainland craft beer enthusiasts.

Celebrating the craft behind every brew, while helping drinkers discover the stories, styles and pairings that make each beer unique.

To support the launch of the redesigned brown glass bottles, we created a series of beer tasting notes that enriched the customer experience and encouraged deeper engagement with each brew. The final collection comprised 12 double-sided postcard-style tasting notes, each dedicated to a different beer within the range.

Each card explored beer style, aroma, flavour profile and recommended food pairings. In turn, the format balanced informative content with an approachable design aesthetic, appealing to both seasoned craft beer drinkers and newcomers to the category.

As a result, the finished pieces became both an educational tool and a brand-building asset, celebrating Cascade’s heritage while reinforcing its place within the contemporary craft beer landscape.
