Shopify website design and POS integration for celebrated Gippsland winery and winner of the Gourmet Traveller Wine awards ‘Star Cellar Door 2022’, Lightfoot Wines.

With the global shift to online retail, Lightfoot Wines needed a more adaptable, intuitive retail solution that offers frictionless customer experiences both on and offline.

The project scope included migrating to Shopify e-commerce, delivering a more robust, reliable, and scalable commerce solution, with Shopify POS integration at the Cellar Door.

Enhancing online and in-store shopping experiences

We upgraded shop and product UX displays to optimise sales funnels, amplify product information and drive conversions. The upgrade included a wine characteristics table with tasting notes added to products, giving Viticulturist and Winemaker, Tom Lightfoot the chance to share additional notes usually reserved for in-person cellar door visits.

While on the distribution side, we implemented advanced shipping integration that opened up national delivery opportunities and helped level previously prohibitive shipping prices to interstate and outer metro destinations.

Streamlining operations with advanced automation

We also focused on automation to streamline the repeat ordering process, integrating subscription services and migrating digital marketing to Klaviyo for more targeted email automation.

This effort included segmentation and creation of email flows throughout the customer journey, focusing on user-centric services like saved cart and restock reminders, as well as seasonally-timed prompts, providing a more tailored service to customers leading increasingly busy lives.
