Morris Jones

A major renovation in 2018 by award-winning designer Alex Zabotto-Bentley, recreated an eclectic space, inspired by the boulevards of West Hollywood. Vines and foliage form a central theme, weaving their way through three distinct areas across the venue, from the curved marble main bar and monochromatic dining room to the moodier upstairs mezzanine. Art by artist David Bromley lines the walls with 1960s Japanese art, while the redesigned menu by head chef Andrew Butcher combines Japanese and Southern Californian influences with fresh takes on sushi, raw food and a focus on sharable plates.

Reworking our previous iteration of the site, we stripped back the design to reflect the new laid-back West-Cali aesthetic, and injected video to capture more of the Chapel Street vibe and MJs bar, dining and events experience.
