After almost 2 decades in the fashion industry, leading accessories direction for brands like Scanlan & Theodore and Mimco, Melbourne designer Petrina Hare felt the timing was right to her own signature brand, and the Phare (pron: fair) brand was born.

Recognising a gap in the Australian market for high-end fashion sensibility, wearability and longevity at an affordable price, Hare saw an opportunity for stylish, Italian crafted woman’s footwear.

Working with Dash to bring my brand to life and develop its story was seamless. They really tapped into my vision, which resulted in beautiful branding and a website that really captures everything I wanted my brand to stand for.

Sometimes taking over 40 hours of manufacturing time, each pair of Phare shoes is expertly hand-crafted by 5th generation shoemakers based outside of Florence, from ethically and locally sourced materials to reduce the brands carbon footprint.

The Phare brand identity, a combination of Petrina’s initial (P) and surname (Hare), the brief required a premium, luxury feel offset with a whimsical design aesthetic that spoke to the handcrafted, artisanal side of the brand.
